Tauheedul Girls Raise £10,000
Pupils at Tauheedul Girls School organised different activities during the Big Society week to raise funds for Cancer Research, Sports Relief and some international relief projects. The girls managed to fundraise over £10,000 through different activities.
Commenting on the efforts of the girls, Moulana Munir Vali, Assistant Principal at Tauheedul Girls School said:
“This was an amazing effort from our girls. As a specialist humanities school with citizenship as our lead subject, we are passionate about making a difference to all of our communities in the UK and beyond and demonstrating we care for communities from all backgrounds and cultures.
The Big Society Week is an opportunity for our girls to get involved in various community and charity projects. Our commitment to Community Service is reflected in the thousands of hours of volunteering our girls and staff do for a range of UK based and international projects.”
